Correction: IGA's total in this report was understated, by about $7.65.

Two of IGA's lines were matched to the wrong product. The apples (1 kg) line was priced from a single apple, “Apples Missile”, at $0.35. The free-range eggs (12 pack) line was priced from a six-pack, “Pace Farm Free Range 350G Eggs”, as if it were a dozen, at $6.40.

IGA's total was published as $236.66. With a kilo of Pink Lady apples (about $7.90) and a dozen Community Co X-Large free-range eggs (about $6.50) at IGA's prices that week, it would have been about $244.31. Those prices are approximate: they are rebuilt from our record of price changes, which does not catch every change.

The single apple was also the cheapest apples at any store, so the “cheapest at each store” total was understated too: $186.14, not $182.80. That figure uses only the other stores' published prices, so it is exact. No other store's figure changes.
