Aldi's got 1kg carrots for $1.99 this week, making it the cheapest across all four supermarkets by a decent margin. With wholesale veg prices up roughly 22% on last year, that's a gap worth caring about, Coles is $2.50 and IGA is sitting at $2.90. Carrots are one of those trolley staples that earn their keep: school lunch boxes, a quick weeknight roast, soup base, snacks for the kids. If you're already doing an Aldi run, throw a bag in.
