Aldi's got carrots 1kg for $1.49 right now, which is genuinely hard to argue with when Woolies is charging $2.40 and IGA's asking $2.90 for the same thing. Coles is the outlier at $0.44, but stock at that price is often limited and worth checking before you make the trip. At $1.49, Aldi's the safe, reliable pick for school lunchboxes, weeknight stir-fries, or just keeping the veg drawer topped up without thinking too hard about it. Carrots are one of those trolley items that quietly blows the budget when you're not watching the per-kilo price, so locking in a bag under $1.50 is worth doing.
