Aldi's got a cabbage half for $3.49 today, which puts it well clear of IGA at $3.50 and well ahead of Coles at $4.50. Woolies is the surprise winner at $2.10 if you've got one nearby, but if your closest shop is an Aldi you're still doing fine. Cabbage is one of those vegetables that earns its keep all week, coleslaw for the weekend barbie, stir-fry on a Tuesday, and tucked into school lunchboxes in wraps or fried rice. With vegetable prices across the board up this year, a half head under $3.50 is worth grabbing while it's there.
